John Keiper Goebert, 89, of College Station died Saturday, March 5, 2022.
John was born January 18, 1933 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Carl and Mary (Keiper) Goebert. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War and worked as an electrical engineer and manager at Westinghouse Electric Company. Relocating from Maryland to Texas in 1982, he soon became a docent at the George Bush Library and Museum, before the library was open to the public. After retirement, John learned how to make beautiful stained glass creations, which he lovingly gifted to family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, gardening, and exploration of the world around him.
John is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Goebert; and son-in-law, Andrew Federkeil.
John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet; three daughters, Jean Federkeil, Patty Goebert, and Karen Goebert; grandchildren, John and Nicole Federkeil; and sister, Phyllis Noon.

I have so many fond memories of my days in College Station. Working with/for John, bringing EAP to fruition from our early planning days in Baltimore. John made it fun! Party time was also special and there was none better to party with than John and Jan. Wow! So many good times!! I'm truly blessed to have spent a small part of my life with them. RIP John.

My deepest and sincere condolences to Janet and daughters. We have lost the most wonderful, caring and loving man that I was so fortunate to get to know.
John was not only the best boss I ever worked for, he and Janet became second family when we moved to College Station in 1982 to start up the new facility. So many fond memories of very special times with two very special people. He will be greatly missed.
