Loving. Faithful. Devoted. These three words describe Maria, but they cannot capture the depth of her impact on our lives.

She found joy in her morning walks and pan dulce with her coffee. She was the proud mother who cheered for her wrestlers every Monday night!

The grandmother who cherished the laughter and chaos of her grandchildren.

Maria was fearless. Whether working hard at Texas A&M or walking through life after the loss of her beloved Angel, she never wavered. She showed us that faith is not just spoken it is lived. Her unbreakable faith was her shield and our guiding light.

She loved her garden, her elephants, and her beloved Los Rayados. But above all, she loved her family. She treasured holidays, trips to Mexico to see her mother, and the simple moments in between.

Today, we carry her voice in our hearts reminding us to stay strong, be independent, and always keep God and family first.

We love you, Mom. We love you, Grandma. Your legacy lives on in every prayer, every plant we grow, and every family gathering we share.

There will be a Visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan from 6 until 8 p.m. with a Rosary starting at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at St Theresa Catholic Church of Bryan at 11 a.m. with a graveside service immediately following.
