Marjorie (Margie) Elaine Yerrington

Jun 14, 1954 - Mar 12, 2026

Marjorie (Margie) Elaine Yerrington, 71, passed away on March 12, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1954, in Bryan, Texas, where she was raised and later built a life of her own raising her family.

Margie was the daughter of Carroll Henry Gilstrap and Gracie Gilstrap. On December 28, 1971, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Harry Yerrington. Together they built a life centered around love, family, and lasting memories.

Margie dedicated many years of her life to serving others through her work. She spent 29 years working at Albertsons and later worked at Buppy's Catering from 2011 until her retirement in 2024.

Margie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was known by everyone who knew her as a selfless and caring person, always putting others before herself and doing whatever she could to help those around her. She was a role model to family and friends alike.

She enjoyed spending time with her family above all else. Margie loved watching races, reading, playing cards, bowling, attending festivals, and going to the beach. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and going to the movies, as well as trips with her grands and her best friend Barbara.

Margie is survived by her devoted husband, Harry Yerrington; her daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Scotty Gaddis, Jennifer and Buppy Simank, Tina and Shane Creswell, and Amanda and Marty Nowicki; her grandchildren, Brittany and Jose Garcia, Jordan Benedict, Shelby and Coy Creamer, Erin and Rickey Ortiz, Trey Nowicki and Katelyn Bloise, Caroline Nowicki and Colton Whitaker, Madison Creswell, Collin Creswell, Crystal Gaddis, Lydia Gaddis, and Nathan Gaddis; and her great-grandchildren, Kinley, Jude, Olivia, Taegan, Troup, and Charlotte. She is also survived by her brothers, Johnny and Mark Gilstrap.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll Henry and Gracie Gilstrap, and her brothers, Henry and Joe Gilstrap.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Margie will be remembered for her selfless heart, her deep love for her family, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched.
