Marsha Savant Obituary

Marsha Lynnette Sharp Savant

April 23, 1948 - November 12, 2025

Marsha passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at the age of 77, in Bryan, Texas Born in Glasgow, Kentucky, Marsha was the daughter of Imogene and Harley Sharp; granddaughter of Leonard and Ella Wilson and John Sam and Nettie Sharp, all of Glasgow; sister of Billy Russell Sharp; and niece of Bea Laporte of Bryan, Texas, George "Buddy" Wilson and Joel Wilson of Glasgow, Kentucky. All preceded her in death.

Marsha is survived by her beloved son, Jeremy "Sukie" Savant of Bryan, Texas; cousins Julie, James, and Ethan Mitchell and family of College Station, Texas; Tina, Larry, Callie, and Rachel Nuche and family of Bryan, Texas; Rose Laporte and Ian of Washington State; and Mike and Sue Wilson of Summer Shade, Kentucky. Many cousins in the Duvall, Wilson and Sharp families. Marsha graduated from Stephen F Austin HS in 1966 in Bryan.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no traditional services. Instead, Marsha asked to be remembered at a Celebration of Life-as someone devoted to the family and friends she loved and cherished. She hoped her farewell would be filled with love, laughter, music, and good food.

Jeremy extends his heartfelt thanks to her treasured coffee-group friends-Elsa, Joann, Carolyn, Beverly, Cathy, Mel, Maria, Clauzelle, and Nannette-for their constant love and support throughout Marsha's battle with cancer.

The family also wishes to thank Traditions Hospice for the exceptional care provided, especially nurses Danny D. and Chelsea, and Chaplain Lauren, who made her final weeks peaceful and comfortable.

From her favorite poem Miss Me A Little:

"When you are lonely and sick of heart,

Go to the friends we know

And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds."

Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones.

Donations to help cover final expenses may be made through her GoFundMe at https://gofund.me/329aadb6, or to the ASPCA or any animal-welfare organization of your choice.

I would love to share a wonderful memory of my Dad, Marsha's uncle, Raymond Wilson walking her down the aisle at her wedding. My Dad felt so blessed and honored Marsha had asked him to be part of her special day. Being Marsha's cousin is very special to me, but she felt more like my big sister. She was wise, honest, and very nurturing. I will truly miss her. God bless you and keep you in His loving hands. Sue Wilson Walske
