October 4, 1954 - January 18, 2017
Nancy Louise McDaniel went to be with Jesus on January 18, 2017 at the age of 62. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday January 21, and a Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 22. Both will be at Hillier Funeral Home, 4080 Highway 6 S., College Station, TX.
Born in Dallas, Texas, on October 4, 1954, Nancy was raised in Longview by loving, Christian parents. At an early age she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and lived for Him, dedicated to putting Him first in all she did for the rest of her life. Nancy had a wonderful personal relationship with Jesus and got her greatest joy in prayer, passionate worship of Him, and listening to His beautiful voice in her life. She has longed for the day when she would finally get to meet Jesus face-to-face.
On May 24, 1975 Nancy married Stephen W. McDaniel in Longview, Texas. After short stays in Tyler, Texas, and Fayetteville, Arkansas, they moved to Bryan-College Station in 1980, where they have lived since. A Godly, loving, unselfish, giving, stay-at-home mom, her high priority was partnering with her husband to raise their two children "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). Her love for Christ led her to serve Him in various ways, through her family, friends, church, and, most recently, sharing Christ with others through foreign missions.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father and mother, Dr, Kenneth and Louise McKinley, step-mother, Louise Harlan McKinley, and brother Terry McKinley. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Steve; their son Brian McDaniel, his wife Sarah, and their two children, Evan and Eylah; their daughter Sarah Hand, her husband Stephen, and their three daughters, Addisyn, Avery, and Abby; her brother, Ken McKinley and his wife Debbie; sister-in-law Nancy McKinley; step-sisters Katherine Bauman and her husband Rich, Mary Miller and her husband Doug; brothers and sisters-in-law Phil and Mary Jane McDaniel and Terry and Shannon McDaniel; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Advancing Native Missions (www.advancingnativemissions.com), Central Baptist Church Children's Building Fund (www.centralbcs.org), and Hospice Brazos Valley (www.hospicebrazosvalley.org).
