Patricia McCain

1935 - 2025

Patricia Jane McCain, 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday morning, November 15, in Kurten, Texas. She died in the comfort of her home on Serenity Pond, surrounded by her beloved dog, the birds and deer she cherished, and her beautiful flower gardens-just as she had hoped.

Born on August 23, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, Pat was the daughter of the late William Frederick Charles and Meta Ione Tillinghast.

Pat was known for her sharp wit, vibrant spirit, and deep passion for gardening, birding, kayaking, quilting, dancing, and outdoor adventure. She raised three sons, Cameron Stirling (Sara), Edward Perry (Nancy), and Steven Loren (Lori).

She is also survived by her devoted pup, Suzy Q, and her seven grandchildren: Elisabeth and Grace Cromwell; Jacob (Kelcie) and Avery McCain; and Mia, Felix, and Lucie McCain.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Virginia Anne Byron Riley.

All are welcome to attend her funeral service on Friday, December 12, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 906 George Bush Drive, College Station, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
