Raymond Cavazos Obituary
Raymond A. Cavazos "Papa Raymond" Jr., of Bryan, passed away March 16, 2013. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Raymond graduated from Victoria High School in 1987. Raymond worked for Brazos Valley Electric for the past 18 years. Raymond was full of life and a positive role model to people others may have given up on.
He was also well known not only for his dedication and hard work, but also for always making a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was known to say, "Learn as many skills as you can and learn something new every day".
Raymond was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lola; and his nephew, Raymond.
Survivors include his wife, Kim; daughter, Mallory; sons, Raymond and Bobby; his mother, Mary Jones and husband Bob; his father, Raymond Cavazos and wife Delores; a very special "grandson" Carter; five sisters; two brothers; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Wow. I looked for Raymond throughout the years as we lost touch after I entered the Army. I can't believe I barely discovered his passing. He was one of my best friends back in the day and I have so many memories of him. I pray that his family has been and continues to be comforted today. Every blessing.

We just learned about Raymond's passing & our condolences go out to all of his loved ones. Just 2 days before he died, he was in our home fixing our kitchen lights so we only knew him professionally. However, he was such a wonderful man to work with...polite, kind, respectful & took such great pride in his work. Our hearts go out to those he left behind....and our prayers are with his family & loved ones.

God Bless your family. I worked with Raymond @ Buddy back in 1999 & he did work for us @ our home, he always talked about his kids & was so proud of them.. Memories will always be there ..

So saddened to hear this news, Raymond was a good friend and his loss will be felt by many. It was privilege to have known and worked with him for many years. His friendship was one I will always cherish. May God comfort his family. My prayers and heartfelt sympathy go out to you all!
