Robert was born to Maurice and Mavis Tyer Guyton in Bryan on Wednesday, May 19, 1948. Immediately following graduation from Stephen F. Austin High Robert joined the United States Navy, proudly serving his country. He married the love of his life Carolyn Ribardo in July of 1967. He was a skilled ironworker and retired after many years. He then began a second career in commercial construction in Bryan and College Station. His love of reading stems from his early childhood; that passion would carry over into his love of fishing and hunting. These outdoor activities were later in his life as he was an honest example of what hard work meant to him while providing for his family. Robert was the most avid Dallas Cowboy football fan you would ever meet.
His parents Maurice and Mavis, his wife of forty-five years Carolyn Ribardo Guyton, and his granddaughter Raven predecease him.
Robert is survived by his son Robert Guyton Jr. and wife Kelli; his daughter Renee Guyton; his grandchildren Marissa, Raylyn, Jesse, Jaylon, Jonica; his two great-grandchildren Cameron and Ava; his brothers David Guyton and wife Sandra, Danny Guyton and wife Jenny, Eddie Guyton, Michael Guyton; his sister Shelly Guyton; along with other relatives and close friends.
