Rudy Cordova Obituary

February 20, 1937 – January 17, 2014

Rudy Cordova, 76, of San Antonio, passed away on Friday, January 17 in his home in Bryan. A family memorial service will be held on Monday, February 10, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio with military honors. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Rudy is the son of Lupe Tellez Cordova and Daniel Cordova. He served our country for three years in the Marines. He loved to travel, and lived in various states call them home. He had a passion for reading and researching areas of health and history in general. He was employed as a security guard until September 2013 when his health rapidly declined. He was strong and courageous never seeking assistance until he could no longer provide for himself.

He moved to Bryan the months of his life to be with his family. Rudy shared his faith with his family and new friends here sharing in Bible Studies. Rudy was often found, heard, playing the tambourine along side various music on the radio. Although his time in Bryan was short lived, it was valuable to all.

His parents, a sister and a brother precede him in death.
