passed away due to natural causes on May 29th, 2024. He was 81 years old and a resident of Bryan, Texas.
Russell was born at the old St. Joseph's Hospital to Kenneth Sherman Hallaran, Sr., and Anna Towns Hallaran, on October 24, 1942. Siblings included Kenneth Hallaran, Jr., David Francis Hallaran, Dianna Lynn Hallaran, and Cynthia Ann Hallaran. He was preceded in death by Kenneth, David, and Cynthia (Cindy). He is survived by his sister Dianna.
Russell attended Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan and then served in the Army National Guard. He graduated with a degree in accounting in 1969, and worked for Tenneco for decades. He also taught high school accounting for 10 years. He retired to care for his mother. His beloved hobby was daily golf with friends.
Russell is survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Hillier Funeral Home handled arrangements. Interment was at the family plot in the City of College Station cemetery. The family requests that memorials should be made in the form of donations to Hospice Brazos Valley.
