Ricardo , Joseph and Felipe, I am so sorry to learn of Vitas passing. I always remember her as such a sweet gentle natured person and an amazing teacher. I feel blessed that both Brittany and Blake had her as their third grade teacher. She was a positive influence on all her students. One of the best! Our prayers are with you.

Ms. Othick, you will always embody the very definition of compassion. I had the great fortune of having you as my teacher at South Knoll a long, long time ago and I'll never forget your class. You were fun and kept things lively and interesting. You listened to us. You encouraged discussions and for us to form our own thoughts and opinions. Every day we learned something new and exciting and it was all because of you. You were my absolute favorite teacher and I always knew I could come to you whenever I needed anything (school-related or not) You always went above and beyond for everyone, whether it was helping after school or just talking to students about whatever problems they were going through. I was a nervous and shy kid and you encouraged me to write and express myself through words and I'll never forget it. I remember visiting you many years after South Knoll and you still remembered me and my family by name. A true class act in every sense. It makes me sad knowing I won't get to catch up with you again and tell you how much you meant to me.  Everyone has that one special teacher in their lives growing up. Someone that encourages and uplifts. Someone who is always there to listen and who genuinely cares about people and puts others first without hesitation no matter what they're going through. Ms. Othick, you will always be that person to me. It's an honor to have been a student under such a sweet, courteous, helpful, generous, and compassionate person. I'll always cherish having you as a teacher and the impact you had on me. You will be greatly missed.
