EASLEY — Hogan Durell Vissage, 85, husband of Gloria Searcy Vissage, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday December 22, 2020.
Mr. Vissage was born in Pickens County, son of the late John Arnold and Vera Smith Vissage. He worked as an electrician at Woodside Mill Easley Plant until the mill closed around 1990, then he worked for Wangner Systems for six years where he semi-retired then he worked at Pro Care Rx as a courier. Mr. Vissage was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving as a combat engineer.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Gloria Vissage of the home, his son, Jody Vissage (Katherine) of Easley and his grandson, Caleb Vissage also of Easley.
The family will receive friends at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 from 12:30-1:45 p.m. with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with The Reverend Rodney Graham and The Reverend Jonathan McGary officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Easley.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, face masks will be required and social distancing will be observed for the service and burial.
