J.B. Turner Obituary
EASLEY — Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Turner were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation was held prior to the service from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
J.B. Turner, 83, of 311 Barton Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. Born in Greenville he was a son of the late John D. and Ella Taylor Turner.
He retired from Alice Manufacturing and enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing and wrestling. .
Surviving are his wife, Helen Chastain Turner of the home; four daughters, Judy Howard of Piedmont, Dot Weber of Liberty, Inez Gray of Pickens, and Vickie Turner of Easley; two sons, Jerry and Ed Turner both of Liberty; a sister, Diane Young of Six Mile; two brothers, Calvin Turner of Illinois, and Gerald Turner of Pickens; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Turner, a daughter in law, Lynn Holder Turner, and 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
