Jacqueline Capps Obituary

EASLEY — Mrs. Jacqueline Walker Capps, 95, wife of the late Walter Edwin Capps, Sr., passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenwood County, a daughter of the late Allen Randolph and Lillian Rebecca Young Walker, Mrs. Capps retired from Easley Manufacturing and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Walter Edwin Capps Jr. (Jane) of Anderson; a daughter, Sandra Patterson (Gary) of Liberty; a brother, Bubber Walker of McCormick; two sisters, Belle W. Story of Washington, Ga., and Sallie W. Rice of McCormick; four grandchildren, Stephanie Edwards (Keith), Michael Patterson (Sarah), Corbin Grant (Hank), and Walker Capps (Julie); and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Capps was predeceased by three brothers, Ran, Jay, and Lin Walker; and a sister, Frances W. Langley.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gary Patterson.

Memorials may be made to Park Street Baptist Church, 114 Robinson Avenue, Easley, SC 29640, or to Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O. Box 466, Anderson, SC 29622.
