Willie Cantrell Obituary

EASLEY — Willie Mae Cantrell, 87, died Friday, February 27, 2015.

Born March 10, 1927 in Six Mile, S.C., Willie Mae was a daughter of the late Jacob Lewis and Elizabeth Edens Cantrell. She was the youngest of thirteen children and the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Willie Mae is survived by her daughter, Mary Cantrell McAbee and her husband, Eddie; granddaughter, Mary-Edens McAbee; and nephews, Wendell G. Cantrell of Spartanburg, S.C., and Douglas L. Cantrell of Newnan, Ga.

Committal will be Friday, March 6, 2015 at 4 p.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, S.C.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In remembrance of Willie Mae, memorials may be made to Mountain View Nursing Home, 340 Cedar Springs Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 127, Landrum, SC 29356.
