Donna Albers Obituary
She was born June 28, 1962, in St. Marys to John and Constance (Hall) Bruns.
On Aug. 24, 1985, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Bremen, she married Douglas A. Albers, who survives.
She is also survived by a son, Jake (Carrie) Albers of New Knoxville; a grandson, John Douglas Albers; a daughter, Jenna (Joshua) Workman of Culver, Ind.; two brothers, John (Donna) Bruns of St. Marys and Dan (Mary) Bruns of Pensecola, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Bob (Kathy) Albers of Ft. Loramie; a sister-in-law, Jackie (Dave) Bergman of Ft. Loramie and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Bruns; her mother, Constance Enicks; her step-father, Franklin Enicks; her parents-in-law, Herman "Hap" and Cecilia Albers
She was a graduate of Ft. Loramie High School (Class of 1980).
She was a homemaker and a Realtor for RE/MAX Select. She also cleaned homes for families in the New Bremen area.
She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Bremen, where she was a lector and served on various committees. She volunteered many hours at the Shrine of the Holy Relics in Maria Stein and was a passionate supporter of the St. Marys Tailgate For Cancer.
Faith, family and friends were the cornerstones of Donna's life. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 120 S. Eastmoor Drive, New Bremen. The Rev. Thomas Dorn and the Rev. Steve Mondeik will con-celebrate the mass, with Rev. Greg Bornhorst, homilist.
Burial will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to either the Shrine of the Holy Relics, to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church or to St. Marys Tailgate for Cancer.
