Dustin Dailey Obituary

Dustin "Dusty" W. Dailey, 46, of St. Marys, died at 3:55 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at OSU Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, with his family at his side.
He was born Feb. 8, 1975 in Lima. His father Gary W. Dailey and stepmother (and "Mom" of 44 years) Linda (Settlemire) Dailey survive in Wapakoneta.
On Feb. 6, 2009 in Wapakoneta, he married Jennifer Sturgill-Dailey, who survives in St. Marys.
Also surviving are his four children: Dylan and Danica Dailey at home; Chelsea Kuck and Dakota Butcher of Lima; two grandchildren; brother Randy Laderer of Clearwater, Florida; brother Anthony (Tiffany) Dailey of Lima; sister Rhonda Ghassabian of Ashville, North Carolina; grandfather Ray Settlemire of Spencerville; mother-in-law Avonell Sturgill; sister-in-law Freda (Carl) Turner; three brothers-in-law: Adam Sturgill, Keith Sturgill and Joe Sturgill, all of St. Marys and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and lots of good friends.
Preceded in death by: mother Nancy (Newman) Dailey (died in 2008); paternal grandparents Raymond and Mabel Dailey; maternal grandparents Robert and Dorothy Newman; grandmother Rose Settlemire; father-in-law Adam Sturgill, Sr. and brother-in-law Roger Sturgill
He was a graduate of Wapakoneta Sr. High School (Class of 1994) and attended Wright State University.
He was employed at Schwan's Foods in Sidney as a maintenance technician. He also previously worked at St. Marys Foundry Co. for 15 years.
He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University and also enjoyed going with his brother Randy and their father to horse races. His son, Dylan, was his best friend and his daughter, Danica, was his pride and joy. He loved to party and had a good time doing it. He was a good husband, father, son, nephew, uncle and friend to all that knew and loved him. He had a good heart, and never met a stranger.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys.
Private family burial will take place at the Ft. Amanda Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Feel free to wear Ohio State attire to celebrate Dustin's life.
Contributions may be directed to his family to assist with final expenses.
