Mary Palmer Mullins

January 10, 1928 - March 28, 2025

Mary Eliza Palmer Mullins passed away Friday March 28, 2025 at her home. Mary was born in Franklin County, Va. to the late Philip and Alma Palmer of Glade Hill, Va. She moved with her family to Greensboro, NC in 1963.

In addition to her parents and two brothers she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Mullins; and two children, Jerry Mullins and Barbara Rich.

Mary is survived by three daughters, Nancy Crothers and Peggy Bellows both of Greensboro NC, and Audrey Mullins-Niles (Ken) of Burlington, NC; two grandsons, Jerry Rich and Kevin Bellows; five great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Mary was a Christian and a member of the Good News Baptist Church of Greensboro, NC. She graduated high school in Glade Hill, Va. in 1946. She worked in retail for over 35 years, retiring from K-Mart at age 80. She loved to shop, work crossword puzzles, and spend time with her family. Music was also a passion. She could play several instruments including a piano.

A visitation will be held at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service Stokesdale Chapel Wednesday April 02, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, Rocky Mount, Va. at 2 p.m. Thursday April 03, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to your favorite charity or the disabled veterans of America.
