Linda Yates Obituary

FRANKLIN - Linda Kay Hays Yates, 77, went home to be with Jesus Thursday, July 27, 2023.
Mrs. Yates was born in Fresno, California, the only child of the late Ralph H. Hays and the late Helene Seidel Hays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert G. Yates, and son, Jeffrey Martin Yates.
Before retiring and moving to Franklin, she worked for the Clerk of Court in Dade City, Florida, as an administrative secretary. After moving to Franklin, she volunteered at Smoky Mountain Pregnancy Care Center and became very active at the Franklin Truth Church. She loved spending time with her family and helping to take care of the children from her church. Mrs. Yates was always so caring and compassionate, always looking after everyone else's needs.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Laura Foster of Mineral Bluff, Georgia; sons, Chris Yates of Springhill, Tennessee, and Billy Yates of Fernandina Beach, Florida; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews; and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Franklin Truth Church. Pastor Burtt Johnson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Franklin Truth Church, 75 Mark Dowdle Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
Online condolences can be left at maconfuneralhome.com.
