Nora McNure

FRANKLIN - Mrs. Nora Gazelle "Cissy" McNure, 68, passed away at her residence Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Mrs. Nora Gazelle "Cissy" McNure was born to the late Joseph Cedric and Carrie Evelyn Hudson in Macon, Georgia. She was employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation as a district planning and programming engineer until her retirement in 2016. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and had attended other beloved churches, Oaky Grove, Mount Olive, Corinth and New Bethel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Cedric and Carrie Evelyn Hudson; sister, Cherry Evelyn Hudson Blizzard; brother, Joseph Cedric "Bubba" Hudson Jr.; maternal grandparents, Nora Ethelene Harrison Powell Schwalls, Cordy Lanier Powell and Sam Schwalls; and paternal grandparents, Robert Washington Hudson and Mary Elizabeth Edwards Hudson.
She is survived by her husband, Roger McNure of Franklin; children, Amy (Eric) Coleman Lizama of Pensacola, Florida, Melissa (Rowan) Leigh Coleman of Atlanta, Georgia, Lindi McNure Vickers and Ryan Patrick McNure, both of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Sydney Leigh Vickers and Michael Gage Vickers, both of Claremont, California, and Amelia Grace Lizama and Kyler Bane Lizama, both of Pensacola, Florida; siblings, Lanier (Peavy) Hudson and Cathy (David) Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, June 25, at 11 a.m., at Chapman Funeral Home. Reverend Dr. Tom Akins officiated. The family received friends for an hour prior to the service.
Interment followed at the Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Adrian, Georgia. Pallbearers were Ty Powell, Barry Powell, Josh Frederick, Rodney Martin, Robert Scott and Jamey Toler. Honorary pallbearers were Bobo Frederick, Eddie Flanders and Jimmy Blizzard.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Nora Gazelle "Cissy" McNure.
