BETTY JANE PRINDLE BOLL Lewisburg, Ky. Betty Jane Prindle Boll, 91, of Lewisburg, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, in Russellville, Ky. She was born Aug. 13, 1930, in New London, Wis., to the late Onie Jay Prindle and Wanda Mae Sherwood. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Bobbie Gene Boll; her daughter, Barbara Vann; her grandson, Daniel Boll; her brother, Roy Prindle; and her son-in-law, Richard Hart. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Gentry of Arden, N.C., Nancy Hart of Marion, Iowa, Debra (Larry) Coomer of Lewisburg, Ky., Sally (Jeffrey) Owensby of Weaverville, N.C., and Sandra (Terry) English of Weaverville, N.C.; her son, Kenneth (Karen) Boll of Lexington, Ky.; her sisters, Darlene Coonfare, Shirley Fuller and Carol Sill; and her 23 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After growing up in rural Iowa, she was married to her husband in Howell County, Mo., in 1947. The two brought up their family on the Boll family farm in Dundee, Iowa before spending many years living in the mountains of North Carolina. They eventually resettled in Logan County, Kentucky, where they grew plentiful, beautiful vegetable gardens and cared for many appreciative cats. Betty loved watching her grandchildren play, hunting mushrooms and fishing with her husband, and having fresh-picked wildflowers brought to her. She could regularly be found enjoying the sunshine and fresh air while sitting on the porch with her family. Whether they called her "Mom" or "Grandma," each of her many family members will miss her deeply but will take comfort in knowing she is in the presence of her Heavenly Father alongside her "Bob". A memorial service for Betty will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester, Iowa, with Pastor David Weber officiating.
