Eveline L. Griser

1930 - 2023

Eveline L. Griser, 93, of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away on November 1, 2023. A celebration of life is will be held Sunday November 5th, from 1-4 p.m. at CJ's Sports Bar and Grill. Eveline was born October 5, 1930 in Cresco, IA to William and Rose (Ludwig) Bly. In 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert Dyer Jones. Their union was blessed with two children, Vicky and Scott. After the end of her marriage, Eveline went to work for Griser and Associates, where she worked until retirement. It is also where she met her second husband, John Griser. Eveline loved to travel, going to Florida every winter. She also enjoyed golfing, socializing over a good meal and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Vicky Jones Lyon; grandchildren Shay Lyon, Sasha (Jamie) Lerch; great-grandchildren Shayla (Blake), Jacob, Haven (Cuso), Seth, Sadie (Quami), Jace, Hannen, Halan; great-great-grandchildren Emberly, Drai'vyn, Marziah and Azari, nephew Richard and her special friend Lee Walker. Eveline is preceded in death by her parents, William and Rose; husband John; son Scott and two sisters Evangeline and Mazzie. Eveline will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We are grateful to those who took care of her at the end of her life.
