Photo still hanging in Eby Fieldhouse at Coe College

I grew up in Coralville and graduated from West High in 1972. I remember Glen well and we often spoke in the hallways, on the bus, and just around town doing kid things. Glen has a great athlete and seemed confident and
determined to accomplish his goals. I exercised at Coe College for the past 30 years and viewed Glen's photo nearly everyday, reminding me of the good times in Coralville and West High. I checked yesterday and it's still there! Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Glen and I dated in college. He was at Coe, and I was at the University of Iowa. He was so much fun, a gentleman and I remember our time together so fondly. I didn't know he was in San Francisco. I am so sorry we were out of touch. A wonderful guy. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

My sympathies at the passing of Glen. He was my first best friend!
Not only many, many fond memories of Glen, but of the entire family.
Many memories of playing football in my side yard, of playing baseball over at Longfellow school. Memories of playing "army", "cavalry" and many childhood pastimes. Memories of playing drums in your basement. Cutting out "guitars" out of scrap lumber. Exploring in the old creed that ran through the Longfellow Schools grounds. Time riding bicycles and playing at the playground at the school!
Over all of these past years, I have always thought of our childhood friendship most fondly. If every child had a best friend like Glen, then they would have had their lives enriched.
Again, my deepest sympathies!
