Jessie Ware Obituary

Jessie Ware, 62, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2022. Jessie grew up in Mount Vernon, attended Oberlin College and William Mitchell College of Law. She clerked for Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Wahl. While raising three boys, Jessie began a distinguished 20 year career as a mediator and parenting consultant. She was relied on for fairness and compassion by her clients and insighful truths laced with humor by her friends and colleagues. She loved laughter, music, pontoon rides, hummingbirds, Pawleys Island, adventure travel and, above all, spending time with her many friends, old and new. She was cherished for wit, kindness, integrity and love. She is survived by partner, Roberta Pisa; children, Zachery, Spencer and Tyler Ware Joncas; brothers, Scott, Douglas, Dwight and David Ware; and mother, Dorothy Rogers. Memorials may be directed to Planned Parenthood, Women Rights Groups or Abortion Rights.

There are so many of my beloved “baby sister” that I am flooded by the many moments so dear. I miss her terribly. Perhaps it was her soul laugh followed by a snort.
