Words are hard to find. You are a beautiful family and a great model of love and sacrifice.
I knew John best through MOA. He was soft spoken with great insight. He would tell me he had so many things to work on in order to be a better Christian man. And he would patiently listen to my struggles. A fine Christian man he was. A saint he is. May God grant you peace and comfort in this difficult time.

I had the great privilege of graduating from LaSalle with John. He was a kind and gentle soul. I also had the pleasure of teaching Laura. John was always interested in how Laura was doing and how he could help. My condolences to Phyllis and the girls.

I was fortunate to go to school with John at St. Ludmila’s and then LaSalle High School, Class of 1971. John was always the good friend with great character, a gentleman and kind heart. He was loved by all of us and will be missed. May he rest peacefully in Heaven with God. Supervisor Harris was an inspirational leader. He was always smiling and encouraging. One way he encouraged employees was with his core value challenge. He would randomly ask if you could recite the core values of Linn County. If you could, there was a prize ($100 bill). I

John was a classmate of my recently passed husband, Steve, and a year ahead of me in school at LaSalle. I remember him as fun loving and friendly . We cherish our memories of all the wonderful visits over the years with John and Phyllis. The embodiment of a good man, servant of God, friend, husband, father and grandfather, John was always such a joyful and shining light to so many.
