Stuart Netolicky Obituary

Stuart James Netolicky, 44, died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, of injuries sustained in a mobile home fire. A celebration of Stuart’s life will be held in June of 2023. An informal gathering of friends and family will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at Wildwoods Smokehouse. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed the Stuart Netolicky Memorial Fund in care of any Hills Bank location or send to P.O. Box 167, Iowa City, IA 52244. Stuart was born Aug. 9, 1978, in Iowa City, the son of Grant Netolicky and Bonnie Broadwell. He was a 1997 graduate of City High School and was an Eagle Scout. Stuart was employed at Crosspark Hy-Vee No. 2 Gas Station in Coralville. Stuart liked old cars. In high school, he worked at Russ’s Standard in Iowa City, where he drove the tow truck. He loved his dogs. Stuart was well liked and would do anything to help others. Stuart is survived by his mother, Bonnie Broadwell (Kevin Laing) and his father, Grant (Wendy) Netolicky; his brother, Brandon Netolicky of Des Moines and his sister, Lauraya; his niece, Ariana and nephew, Christopher; his grandfather, Jim Netolicky; step-siblings, Brittany, Breanne (Ty) and Bryan; aunts, Jo Broadwell, Diane (Dan) Wenman and Ty (Sue) Netolicky; and former spouse, Jill. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and infant son, William. Online condolences may be directed to www.lensingfuneral.com.
