Dad
It was fourty years ago when I first met you. You were walking out of the garage with a blue jean jacket on and you were the size of a house. I thought "What did I get myslef into?"
Well Dad, all I know is that we had a lot of fun and alot of laughs. You showed me what life was about! I guess the man upstairs has another job site for you to be on though.
Not only did I lose a father-in-law, but I lost my best friend. I will truly miss you Dad.
Your son-in-law,
Gil

p.s. I'll take good care of the john deere for you

Dear Alex,

It is sad that this world lost a great man. You were always happy and laughing every time I saw you. It was nice to be around someone with such a love for life. I will always remember coming over to your house in the summer to swim with Jen. Those are some of my best childhood memories. I also use to love going to the cabin to escape from everything. Thank you for all of the memories! You will be missed dearly! My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Love,

You will never be forgotten. You had touched the lives of everyone that you ever met. Anywhere you were there was always people laughing and smiling. Your love of live is contagious. You always turned everything you did into an adventure. I will never forget all the great times we had together. You have left a huge hole in all of our lives and will be missed by everyone who knew you.

I am so saddened to hear that Alex is no longer with us. He will be missed by many. I personally enjoyed his stories about fishing, old cars, concrete & construction work. He was a one of a kind person with a big heart and if you knew Alex-a big mouth too. Once he saw me taking my boat out on Lake Michigan to go salmon fishing. He saw that I didn't have a kicker motor on my boat to use just in case my big motor failed. He strongly felt to go out on that big lake without a second motor just wasn't safe. So, the next day he came over to my house and gave me a (5) hp mercury motor. All he said was "Here use this kid- it's yours" and then he turned and walked away. That's the kind of man Alex was at heart. I remember when we were young and PLM Concrete was doing work for us, you knew Alex was in the office or on the job site because you could hear him ROAR a mile away, especially if things where not going just right. That's Alex. So may God bless you Alex and may you rest in peace. God bless.

Dear Bette, Debbie, Dawn, Alex, We were saddened to hear about Uncle Alex. I'm so glad we got to see all of you last month at the party. I still smile about when it started raining at the party and Bette, you and Debbie were in the truck with the windows down. I saw Alex sitting the golf cart and gave him a hard time for not shutting the windows on the truck so you wouldn't get wet. Then, I found out the keys were in the truck and you guys couldn't reach them to shut the windows! I can still hear Alex and Gil laughing about it! Please know we are thinking of you all in the days to come and will miss Uncle Alex alot. Love, Kim Jeff, Kaycie
