Kay, My heart aches for you. I wanted you to know Skip was a great testimony to me. While we worked together these last few years, he always spoke of you and his sons with love from his heart. He loved life and he lived it to the fullest. His friendship sincerely impacted and touched me forever, as it did with others who worked with him.

"Dear Desiderio Family, The Boeing Company Supplier Quality Team share your grief of a very special man Angelo "Skip" Desiderio. I referred to Skip as Little Caesar when telling others about him because of his always "Business Like" demeanor. He had a command of his work and a passion for what we do to assure our "Aircraft is Built Correct". He could quickly leave his passion and talk to you on any level, never fearing to share his love of his family, his friends, his music and his life. Never boring and always full of life he motivated all he met and you never would know his age. I am inspired by Skip's life because of how he lived it, so fearlessly. He did what he wanted to do to push thru his senior years and inspired all who he came in contact with. He cherished the field of work call "Quality Assurance" and did the job with skill and better than most. Our Team will surely miss Skip, his smile, jovial disposition and Great! Great! attitude which we all can learn from. Our Boeing Team will share in your great memories of Skip right along with each of you. He truly touched our lives in a most positive way."

When I was growing up, Kent was my best friend and we spent a lot of time together at the Desiderio house. Mr. Desiderio (as I’ll always think of him) was a great influence on me, and as I got older, a great friend, too. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. When Skip and I were 15 we worked at the Collins Theater, Skip being an usher and I sold candy then tickets. What a very very nice gentleman he was and such a good sense of humor. We also attended the same high school. On a recent road trip, I just mentioned a fond memory of those days to my husband and now I read that Skip is no longer with us. So sad....he will be missed. Dear Kay,

I am so sorry to hear abdout Skip. I saw him a few weeks ago at MCC playing with Vito's band. I have always appreciated the support you and Skip provided to me while the boys were in my bands. It was also great to have your help in organizing a community band to play during the 1976 Bi-centennial activities. I hope you and the boys will remember all of the good times we all had. Once again, my deepest sympathy to all of you.

I was very sorry to hear of the death of this lovely soul. I only knew him in a professional sense (I am a retired Boeing OA) but his warmth, good nature and great work ethic were attributes many should aspire to. Again, I am sorry for your loss (and ours).
