A fine lady who welcomed me to the Joliet area many years ago when I was a newlywed. She could always be counted on for her generosity AND for the excellent dishes she prepared for everyone to enjoy. It was a pleasure to know her and her family and I will treasure the memories. Sincere sympathy to all.

Being "neighbors" on Kelly Ave. meant that we always got to see your mom. She was always so concerned with everyone. Once when my son was a little guy, I went to pick up some soup and she asked where he was since he was usually with me. I told her he was sick and she said, "a boy needs to build up his strength after being sick." She gave me an extra cup of her chicken noodle and told me to take it to him and make sure he ate it all up. That was your mom. Never too busy to take care of someone. He still has the stuffed animal she gave him when he was four - he's now fifteen. May your family receive God's blessings and comfort in this difficult time. Knowing your mom was both an honor and a privilege.

Tom, Rick and the entire Thayer family, God Bless you all. The Joliet community has lost an amazing, wonderful lady. It was always fun to stop by the restaurant for lunch and get a very nice welcome from Ann. Most times for me included an big hug. I like so many, considered Ann a friend. She was always so gracious. She took so much pride in her soups and of the wonderful food. Ann thank you for all the good memories and hospitality. God Bless !!
