Barbara E. Winterbottom (nee Beasley)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lightways Hospice Care, Joliet on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the age of 78 years.
Born the daughter of the late Harold and Eileen (nee Peterson) Beasley.
Loving Wife of the late George E. Winterbottom (2020); Devoted Mother of Bruce Winterbottom, Brian (Garilyn) Winterbottom, and Jason (Melissa) Winterbottom; Adored Grandma of Samatha, Kristen, Chyan, Shane, Rider, McKenna, and Blake; Great Grandmother of Owen, Lillian, and Austin; Beloved Sister of Beverly Patterson and Bonnie Tittle; Fond Aunt of numerous nieces and nephews and dear friend of many.
Barbara was a long-time member of the Minooka United Methodist Church and an active member of the American Legion Post #1188.
For many years Barbara enjoyed farm life and the sense of small-town community. That's where she felt most at home. She was content outdoors and would spend hours birdwatching and taking in the beauty of nature. A homemaker at heart she will be fondly remembered as being the happiest when her "three boys" and their families were with her during the holidays, family gatherings, or a simple visit.
In honoring the wishes of Barbara E. Winterbottom, Cremation Rites have been accorded.
A Memorial Gathering for Barbara will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM until Service begins at 2:00 PM at the Minooka United Methodist Church located at 205 W. Church Street.
