Charles Eich Obituary
Age 79 passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Amita Hospital in Joliet. A resident of the Grand Haven Community of Romeoville, formerly residing in Plainfield since 1974. Chuck retired from the Pipe Fitters Union, Local #597 Mokena, however he is best known for establishing Eich's Sports in 1988 currently located in Plainfield, IL. He was also known as Coach Chuck to many kids over several decades. Chuck began coaching kids when he was 18 and continued for the majority of his life. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Eich; children Brian (Sarah) Eich, and Tracy (Derek) Mueller; brothers Gene (the late Maureen) Eich, Bob (Rena) Eich, Leroy (Linda) Eich, Gary (Sherri) Eich, and David (Kathy) Eich; grandchildren Keegan Eich, Kiersten Eich, Paige Mueller, Carmen Lazzara, DJ Mueller, and Dakota Mueller, also numerous brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Also preceded in death by his parents Roy and Viola Eich; sister Evie (Carl) Hanlin, and brother Jimmy (Delores) Eich. Visitation Sunday from 3 to 8 pm at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W. Renwick Rd., Plainfield, Il 60544. Funeral Monday March 21, 2022, 9:15 am from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Immaculate Church in Plainfield for a 10:30 am Mass. Interment to follow St. Mary's Immaculate Cemetery. Parkinson's treatments at the Van Andel Institute cancer center. Dear Betty and to all of Chuck's family. We are sending our sincere deepest sympathies to each of you on the loss of Chuck. We are truly so sorry and sending many thoughts and prayers for much peace and comfort. Chuck was a great friend to everyone and we have many great memories from our younger days. Gods Blessings.
