Age 93 of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Ascension Living Villa Franciscan Place in Joliet.
Born January 19, 1928 in Joliet, Dan was a son of Walter and Constance (Kwasnieski) Bandosz. Dan proudly served his country with the United States Army and went on to work for and retire from WB Persico Construction and was a member of Teamsters Local 179. A favorite past time of his was going fishing with his grandchildren, brother and nephews. He also enjoyed working on his vegetable garden. Dan was known as a social butterfly and made friends with everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his daughter: Laurie (Kevin) Thrasher; granddaughter: Brittany (Jason Wagner) Thrasher; sister-in-law: Diane Weese, and numerous nieces and nephew.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Bandosz; parents: Walter and Constance; in-laws: William and Dorothy Weese; grandson: Daniel D. Bandosz; brothers: Buddy Bandosz and Gene (Mary) Bandosz; sister: Theresa (Stanley) Borowski, and brothers-in-law: William, Clark and Charles Weese.
Per Dan's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
Family and friends will gather at a future date to celebrate Dan's life.
The family sends a very special thank you to the doctors and staff at DaVita Kidney Care and the amazing staff at Villa Franciscan for their care and compassion, as well as Dan's incredibly caring roommate Ken.
Memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Dan's memory to Lightways Hospice or the Crest Hill Lions Club.
