Daniel M. Tully Sr.
Daniel "Dan" M. Tully Sr., Age 77, late of Morris passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with Melanoma Cancer. Born in Chicago, raised in Lockport / Homer Glen where he lived most of his life, and a resident of Morris for the last 13 years. Retired as a Lieutenant from the Lockport Police Department in 1995 after 29 years of dedicated service. Member of Ducks Unlimited. An avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, and outdoorsman. He enjoyed gardening, but above all else he cherished spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mary (nee Zambuto) Tully; in-laws, Ross and Carolyn (nee Behringer) White; brothers-in law, Charles, Norman and Glen White; and Sister-in-law, Sis Lindstrom.
Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon (nee White) Tully; one cherished son, Daniel Tully Jr.; three adored grandchildren, Brianna, Alyssa, and Caitlin Tully; one brother, James (Erika) Tully; sister-in-law, Rebecca (James) Bukolt; four nephews, David, Jimmy and Tony Tully and Aaron Bukolt; and two nieces, Kathy, and Melissa Bukolt; cherished family members, Alvin and Sue Green, Travanna Green and Whitney Jones; several other family members and friends also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lockport Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport, IL., 60441 at 9:45am. Following all services cremation rites will be respectfully addressed.
Visitation at the funeral home Friday, September 17, 2021, from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.
