David Sterling Obituary
David E. Sterling, age 38, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022.
Survived by his parents, Edward (Beth) Sterling; siblings, Laura Sterling and Kevin Sterling; niece, Coraline Tomala; aunts and uncles, Jim (Becky) Sterling, Ray (Becky) Sterling, Dan Sterling, Sue Sterling, Scott Frazier, Jerry (Ruth) Madziarczyk and Ruth (Greg) Bloomberg. Several dear cousins and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward (Carol) Sterling and Walter (Lorraine) Madziarczyk.
David was born on May 24, 1983, in Chicago Heights and lived in Channahon Illinois since 1986. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Shorewood. David was educated in Channahon schools K-12 and graduated in the class of 2002 from Minooka Community High School. At the age of 15, he started working at Jeric's Skateboard Shop in Joliet. From there he became an expert low voltage electrician and later worked at Interstate Batteries (Plainfield) as a warehouse worker and delivery driver. Dave loved Frisbee golf, bonfires, nature walks, and had a knack for finding and collecting arrowheads and cool rocks and fossils. But, most of all he enjoyed making people laugh. He was a Chicago White Sox and Bears fanatic and LOVED to watch NASCAR races. David was very patriotic and held an annual 4th of July party which always ended with a grand firework display and an even bigger blazing bon-fire. He was an excellent people person and loved by all his friends and family, especially his niece, Coraline, whom he adored. David's smile, laughter and kindheartedness will be greatly missed, and his spirit will stay in our hearts forever.
Memorial services for David will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 305 W. Black Road, Shorewood, IL 60404 on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hope Lutheran Church will be appreciated.

I´m so sad to hear of the loss of Dave. My deepest sympathy goes to his parents and siblings.
It´s always important to know how much he was loved. He was such a great guy and a good friend to Kraig, and to all his friends. I´m so very sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for the loss of your child, Dave
