Deb Starcevich, age 69, of Joliet, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center Joliet, following a lengthy illness, with her loving family by her side.
Born September 2, 1955, in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Musich) Starcevich, and was a graduate of St. Mary Nativity Grade School and Joliet West High School, Class of 1973. She was a lifetime resident of Joliet.
Throughout her life, Deb had a deep love for Chicago, captivated by the city's vibrant culture, stunning skyline, and rich history. She especially enjoyed dining out, finding joy in sharing meals with friends at favorite restaurants across the Chicagoland area. Deb cherished every moment celebrating birthdays and holidays with family and friends. She was always the last to arrive and the last to leave and this became a long-standing joke amongst family members.
Deb will be remembered for her big heart and her love for family and friends.
She is survived by her brothers, David (Judy) Starcevich of Joliet, and Daniel (Susan) Starcevich of Shorewood and nieces and nephews, Ashley (Rick) Goddard, Matthew (Kayla) Starcevich, Lauren (Sean) Gremillion, Ben Starcevich, Max Starcevich, Ted Starcevich, Mitchell Starcevich. She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Deb Starcevich will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a chapel prayer service at 11 a.m. As it was Deb's request, cremation rites will be accorded following the prayer service. Private inurnment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Joliet, at a later date.
