Donald Krause Obituary

Donald F. Krause
Donald F. Krause, age 63, passed away at home on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
Survived by his children, Donnie Krause, Elisa (Justin) Woods and Rich Krause; his granddaughters, Madeline, and Valerie Woods; sisters, Gayle (Jim) Colbert and Val (Fred) Gutierrez; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Colbert, Jeff Colbert, Kallan (Jason) Napierkowski and Kendall Graf. Many dear friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Donald A. (Valeria) Krause and his brother, Robert Krause.
Don was a proud Navy veteran that retired from Dynegy Energy Company after a long-standing career as an electrician and instrument mechanic. An avid firearm enthusiast, Don enjoyed shooting sports, cruising in his classic Camaro, dominating Euchre games, and spending every moment possible spoiling his two beautiful granddaughters. Don was a trusted confidant to his sisters, a loving father to his children, a loyal friend, and an enigma…. coupling an aggressive hatred for cheese with the unchallenged ability to eat an entire pizza and a pound of bacon alone in one sitting.
Funeral services for Don will be held at Farkas Funeral home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, November 8, 2021, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
