Howard Blankenship Obituary

Died: January 27, 2017
Howard Lanier "Fatz" Blankenship was born on September 10, 1969 to Willie C. Blankenship, father (deceased) and Annie Ruth Hayes Blankenship, mother. He graduated from Washington Jr. High, Joliet Central High School, and was a few credits from graduating from Robert Morris College. His gorgeous smile was contagious.
Howard was suddenly taken away from us on January 27, at the age of 47, where he is now with the Lord.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Willie C. Blankenship Sr.; and his brother, James Ray Blankenship (Duke); and best friend, Derrick Jones.
He leaves to cherish his many happy memories, his mother, Annie Ruth; two brothers, Willie C. Blankenship and Lee E Blankenship. He also leaves to cherish his memory are children he loved, Howard J., Anonda, Derrion, Howard Jr., Amarie, and Amerie Chloe. In addition, three aunts, Irene Homes, (Joliet), Deloris Thigpen (Florida) and Lovell Campbell (Mississippi). He also leaves to cherish his memory his Fianc ' and one true love, Tamara Smith and his good friend Lane Cruickshank. He will also be missed by his closest nieces, Kya Nate' and Rakea Monique; plus other nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 9:00am at St. John M.B. Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd., Joliet, Il. Pastor Herbert Brooks

I pray that God comfort and console the Blankenship family, Howards children and friends in there time of grieving. Howard i love you, im sure you will make them laugh in heaven,because it is the gift God gave you. I believe that the chains of bondage of this world are broken off of you.im so glad.peace my brother.
