Sincere condolences to the whole family. I had known Jim for many years. In 2005 I had the privilege of joining Jim on the New Lenox Library Board as a trustee in an elected position. His mentorship and comaraderie were much appreciated and helpful. He was a great guy, a quiet leader and an asset to our community.

On the few occasions that I met Jim, he was delightful. Our connection is through his daughter Jennifer, which I happily met and took under my wing as she attended UNLV years ago. We have remained friends and stayed in contact over all these years. Her humor, kindness, and fairness is a direct result of how Jim lived his life. May he rest well after a job well done.
