Jennie Liker Obituary

Liker, Jennie F. (nee Zupancic), age 86, Went to be with the Lord peacefully on Monday December 6, 2010 at Provena Villa Franciscan with her family by her side. Survived by her loving son Anthony (Maureen) Liker, loving daughters Darlene Campbell and Melody (Jim) St. Germain, dearest grandmother of six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Born in Joliet and a life-long resident. Preceded in death by her husband Anthony Liker, son Donald Liker, great grandchild Cody Campbell, parents Anton and Jennie (Nee Murn) Zupancic, sisters Florence (Eddie) Olender and Dolores Zupancic. Jennie was a person who devoted her whole life to her family. She showed us she cared by always being there for us. She also enjoyed cooking and baking Potica for her family. Jennie was a very loving person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her memories she gave to her family will always be remembered. We would like to thank the Provena Villa Franciscan Staff and Joliet Area Community Hospice staff for taking such good care of our mom. The care and dedication they gave to her is greatly appreciated by her family. As per Jennie's final request she has donated her remains to the Anatomical Gift Association in Chicago, IL. to further medical research.

I have fond memories of Jennie as she and my mom, Fran Legan, were good friends living on the 7th floor of The Towers. Now they are having a reunion with all their friends and relatives. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. I hope you find comfort in knowing others care.
