Jerry Thomas Curry
Jerry Thomas Curry of Joliet, Illinois went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the age of 70 years old. After a year of fighting pancreatic cancer, he transitioned within his home surrounded by his beloved wife and family.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Judith L. Curry; one daughter, Traci Mckenzie; one sister, Lillie Ruth Gregory; and one grandson, Dedrick Hayes.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Donna Lynn Curry; his siblings, Betty (Freddy) Clark, Sharon McCann, both of Joliet, IL, Jeanette Curry of Nashville, TN, and David Curry of Jackson, TN; his children; Kelly Curry, Jeremy (Sue) Curry, both of Joliet, IL and Jacent Curry of Rock Island, IL; two stepchildren, Cierra Suell and Christopher (Maggie) Suell of Iowa; and sixteen grandchildren, Kendon, Brooklynn (Isiah), Ravyne (Gerorge), Joche, Steve (Aneitra), Dedrick, Jazma, Dominique, Chelsea, Nisiah, Makayla, Noah, Josiah, Dystanie, King, Arias; eleven great grandchildren; Two special Aunts; Deloris & Celestine; two special Uncles, Billy and Will. Numerous cousins, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home and Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1710 Carey St., Joliet, IL. Service at 11:00 AM, Pastor Wendell Martin, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
