John Hausherr Obituary
John W. "Jack" Hausherr, 72, of New Lenox, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago. Jack was born in Chicago to the late John W. "Wally" and Delores (nee Walsh) Hausherr.
Beloved husband of Lori (nee Johnson) Hausherr; loving father of Jack (Vicki) Hausherr, Jannine (Lee) Hofman, Chad (April) Hausherr, Tech Sgt Ben (Krystal) Hausherr, and Cody (Kim) Hausherr; brother of the late Robert (Norma) Hausherr; cherished grandfather of Trevor, Emily, Zach, William, Lucy, Evie, Kaydence, Chase, and Hayden; proud uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired Iron Worker, Local #1 Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, A Tribute Donation in Jack's name to Lymphoma Research Foundation (lymphoma.org) would be appreciated.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral Service Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery, Manhattan, IL.

I didn't see Jack often, since, as an editor, I often work in quiet corners; however, when I did, I remember a cheery face and a warm smile. He also knew where he was going and what he was doing. We will all miss the delightful person that he was.

There are few people I've ever met who are as friendly, caring and outgoing as Jack. He brought a smile and light heart to everyone he met. As heavy as my heart feels for Jack and his family and many friends now, I know that I can best serve his memory by lifting hearts and lives as he did.
