Kathy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Ethel Wright; paternal grandparents, Jessie and John Amos; her mother, Trollie M. Amos, and her son, Damen Amos; uncles, William (Mary) Wright, Jimmy (Ruthie) Wright, James (Dorothy) Wright, Homer Amos, John Amos, Charles Amos, Russelll Amos, Rogers Amos, and aunt, Shirley Jean Collins.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her dad, George V. Amos Sr.; three children, Jazmine Amos, Janay Amos, and Tiala (Antionette) Hughes; grandchildren, Eric Lanier, Cashmere Lanier, Zaniyah Portis and Ariyah Bonner; three sisters, Dorothy (Dwight) Stribling, Patricia Amos-Thigpen, and Yolanda (Andrew) McKinnon; five brothers, Johnny Wright, George (Ruby Yvonne), Leon, Paul and Eddie Amos; friends, Felicia Woods, Maria Currie, Deddrick Jones, and Mark Legowitz; aunts, Mary Wright, Dollie Amos, Gracie Mitchell, Vernie Stevens, Elizabeth Spights, and Marie McMillian; uncles, Ulysses Wright, Robert Wright, Joe Wright, and Willie Amos and a host of nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 9:00-10:00 AM at St. John M.B. Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd., Joliet, IL. Service at 10:00 AM, Rev. Paul Amos, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
