Kenneth Kobus Obituary
Kenneth "Ken" L. Kobus Jr., age 68 passed away January 9, 2019.
Kenneth was born in Joliet and was a lifelong resident of Lockport. He was an iron worker, union local #444, for 47 years, retiring in 2017. Ken was a member of the Lockport Moose Lodge #5788, a car enthusiast, loved motorcycles, planes, and traveling.
Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary P. Kobus (nee Kure), 2011; his parents, Kenneth L. Kobus, Sr. and Mary (nee Sartori); a nephew, Michael Kure; and niece, Amy Cagwin.
He is survived by his two children, Christine Kobus of Lockport and Andrew (Jennifer) Kobus of Shorewood; two adored grandchildren, Braden and Marley Kobus; one sister, Nancy (Greg) Cagwin of Lockport, 5 nephews, Brett (Kim) Cagwin, Rusty (Rhonda) Harper, Dennis (Sally) Harper, Mike (Laura) Harper, Gil Kure; one niece, Lynn (Jimmy) Denton; and a dear friend, Dorene Barrera.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm with a service at 5pm at O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME & HERITAGE CREMATORY, 1105 E. 9th Street, Lockport, 60441. Inurnment will be a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Morton Arboretum would be appreciated.
