Kenneth L. Peterson
Age 77 of Joliet, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Amita Health Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Born May 28, 1944 in Joliet, Kenneth was a son of the late Sven and Agnes (Kellsner) Peterson. He was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School with the class of 1963. Kenneth was drafted during the conflict in Vietnam and proudly served his country with the United States Army. He was a first-rate instrument repairman and dedicated his time with the Texaco Refinery in Lockport and later the Citgo Petroleum Plant in Lemont. Kenneth was a loving, kind and wonderful man who was deeply devoted to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife: Christine (nee Johnson) Peterson; son: Brendan Peterson of Van Nuys, California; brother: David (Sandra) Peterson of Romeoville and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Sven and Agnes.
Per Kenneth's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held at a later date.
