Mark S. Persinger, age 40. Suddenly Monday, January 19, 2015.
Employed with Local #174 with over 10 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Loving father of Lance and Jonny Persinger; sisters, Tammy (Dennis) Shepherd, Debbie (Shaun) Loy and Kimberly Phillips; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Alaina Shepherd, Dow, Shaun, Jr., Steven and Chad Loy and Ivan Shaw II; father, Ralph Persinger; step-father, Dow Johnson; grandmothers, Mary (nee Gehlhausen) Flannagan and Wilma (nee Howe) Koch; and many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his mother, Donna M. Johnson (December 22, 2013); grandfathers, Albert Flannagan and Johnny Koch; aunt, Charlene Yates; and cousin, Dustin Faulkenberg.
Funeral Services for Mark Persinger will be Friday, January 23, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Thursday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

So shocked and extremely sad to hear the news about Mark. He was there and cried with us during a couple of our family's sad times. My heart goes out to the family especially to Lance and Jonny. I will always remember and love you boys. "Aunt Jan"
