Marsha Wenberg Obituary

Marsha Kay Wenberg
Born: March 22, 1952 in Springfield, IL
Died: October 15, 2025 in Joliet, IL
Marsha Kay Wenberg, age 73 of Joliet, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
Born March 22, 1952 in Springfield, Illinois, Marsha Kay was a daughter of Vernon and Trula (Guthrie) Harvey. She was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from Joliet East High School with the Class of 1970. Marsha was a hard worker her entire life, holding many positions over the years, and spent the last 10 years of her career working as a yard checker for BNSF Railway until her well earned retirement.
She enjoyed the comforts of her own home, always keeping busy working in and around her house, and worked hard to provide a pleasant environment for herself and her family. Family was always Marsha's number one priority, and they remember her fondly for goofy sense of humor and for being the strongest person they have ever known.
Survivors include her two children, James Wenberg and Angie (Mark) Austin, both of Odell, Illinois; one granddaughter, Katie (Aaron Wilkerson) Wenberg of Mazon, Illinois; two great-granddaughters, Madilynn and Raelynn Wilkerson; four brothers and three sisters, Gary, Brenda, Larry, David, Ed, Sherry, and Ann; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother and two sisters, Johnny, Betty, and Nancy.
Per her wishes, cremation rites are being accorded.
The family will receive friends for a celebration of life at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.
Family and friends are encouraged to log onto www.BaskervilleFuneral.com to sign the guest book, upload photographs and share Marsha's memorial page online through social media.
Cremation and Life Celebration Services have been made under the direction and care of Reeves, Fruland & Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory. (815-476-2181)
