Rev. Jack Bryant Richey, 92, of Blanchard, passed away October 9, 2025. Jack was born June 14, 1933, in Dibble, OK, to Rev. Clay and Shay (Ramsey) Richey. He graduated from Blanchard High School and married his high school sweetheart Mona Raye Taylor, August 17, 1951.
In 1962, Jack committed his life to the ministry, and together he and Mona served churches in Oklahoma and California for over fifty years. In addition to his pastorates, Jack devoted his life to the spreading of the Gospel in other capacities: serving on the faculty of Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College and directing the Pastoral Ministries program, traveling as an evangelist across the United States, preaching over 600 revivals. He also held leadership offices for state and national Free Will Baptist organizations, culminating as Executive Secretary for Oklahoma Free Will Baptists. For over 40 years, Jack's blessed many with his strong bass voice in The Oklahoma Ministers' Quartet, as he shared the joy of a musical and preaching ministry with his good friends Homer Young, Waldo Young, and Delbert Akin.
Jack and Mona shared life as gracious hosts, loyal friends, and exemplary role models for 62 years of marriage. His quick wit, wise counsel, and steady leadership made him a favored friend to many. But at age 92, he spoke often of being “homesick for Heaven."
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers - Edward, Roley and Jimmy - and his stepmother Jewell. He is survived by three children: Garry Richey (Donna) of San Antonio, TX, Rhonda Giles (Rev. Frank) of Newcastle, OK, and Dana Jinks (Tom) of Burkburnett, TX, seven grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
As he is now reunited with Mona in Heaven, he will be remembered and missed by a host of family members, friends, and church members who know that, as he used to sing, he "won't regret a mile."
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Newcastle Free Will Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.

I have so many fond memories of growing up with Granddad Jack in our family! He was a fun grandparent, with his frequent teasing and jokes, but he always made it clear that he cared about us as well. Even though I didn't live close enough to spend very much time with him as I grew up and had my own family, we still enjoyed visiting with him whenever we had the opportunity, and my kids learned to appreciate his humor and kindness just as I did. He will be greatly missed, but I know he is celebrating his homecoming in Heaven today!

May all the warm and special memories you shared with Uncle Jack stay with you and bring you comfort through all the days ahead. David and I shared the same anniversary date with Jack and Mona Raye. They were both such special people and now they're finally together forever! I know that the Richeys and Ramseys are playing dominoes, laughing, telling stories and eating to their hearts content. We have been blessed by knowing your Mom and Dad.

Our family was very blessed when we met Pastor Richey at NW Freewill Baptist Church in OKC. We followed him to many churches to hear The Ministers Quartet over the years. Our son spoke with him often and kept up with him as Pastor Richey was very instrumental in his Christian upbringing. A true minister of the gospel, Brother Richey held his beliefs to the highest standards of Christianity with the utmost respect of God’s teaching, conveying it to church congregations when he preached.
Our family sends our sincere condolences to the Richey family and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. Brother Jack is now singing the bass part in the halls of Heaven with his partners along with Sister Richey at his side. We will always remember the Richey family as friends to our family.

I was blessed to have Jack as my father-in-law. He was a true man of God, who brought such joy to his role of grandfather and great grandfather. Today he claimed his reward: "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"

One of the nicest men we've had the privilege of knowing. My entire family had the utmost respect for him. Mom & Dad and my Uncles and their families were all blessed with his friendship, character and dedication to Christianity. Saddened by his passing and praying for his family.
