Although no words however kind, can ease the loss you bear - May it bring a share of comfort to know that others care. We're keeping you all in our prayers. I just got thru talking to my brother, Michaeal Webb, and was saddened by the news. I pray that God comforts and consoles the family during this grievious time.

To the Family of Rhoda,
My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I didn't know Rhoda, personally, but I feel like I did once I saw her beautiful smiling face on the news and in the papers. Her beautiful countenance resembled the face that everybody would know. I have been constantly praying. I know that God will heal your hurt and He certainly knows the pain. "God said, He'll never leave you nor forsake you" You can call him anytime, anywhere. He'll be there in the darkest Hour. There's not a Friend like the lowly Jesus. No not one. Be comforted in knowing that God is standing by your side.
"Nothing takes God by Surprise".

Praying your Strength in God!

After watching a news report on CNN today, I felt compelled to find out more about this lady, Rhoda. I live in Texas and I found a video tribute on You Tube that is absolutely fabulous and the musical accompaniment is very nice.

This video allowed me to see a small glimpse of a lady who by all accounts made life better for many. May the grace of God be with Rhoda's family and friends during this difficult and trying time. Keep the faith and continue to cherish memories of your daughter, sister, fiance, aunt and friend.

Peace and Blessings,

To the family and parents of Rhoda, I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many question as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. There are no right or wrong ways to grieve, it’s an individual journey that unfortunately we now have to take. I ask that God give the comfort, strength and courage that you are going to need. You can cry, vent, or just talk as only another person who has been where you are can really know what you are going through. May God continue to be with you and heal you.

Rhoda, you know you were loved by so many and the Celebration of Your Life service was an uplifting service, one that reminded us of what you stood for and the way you died will not over shadow how you lived. I love you like a Sister and you will always be special to me and the rest of my family. I will honor you by daily seeking out what my Purpose & Destiny in life is and I will even more, allow God to lead my life and make sure I continue to live the life God planned for me. You constantly told all of us that, your words will not fall to the ground because we know those words came from our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. You spoke them as He gave them to you.
Thank you Rhoda!

Ms. Barb & Family, you will be in my prayers.

Dear Friends and family of Rhoda McFarland: I was a frequent shopper at the Lane Bryant that Rhoda managed. It was always a joy when Rhoda was there. I know that more than I would ask for her by name when they came in. I cannot tell you how many times she helped myself, my daughter, and my family and friends in the store, and even on many occasions on the phone. She was always there to help. I am so glad that she was also a believer and is in a much more wonderful place, than in this Babylon world of ours. I will miss her "larger than life" smile and will keep you and your families in my prayers. A "sister" in Mokena

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

I was a frequent shopper at LB in Tinley Park and part of the reason I drove out there was because of the staff. Rhoda led a fantastic team of women and I feel like I have truly lost a friend. I remember one specific conversation she and I had with another customer about how she had found "Mr. Right" and that you just need to be patient. What a beautiful woman. My heart mourns and my prayers are with each of you.

If you could see me now, I'm standing strong and whole.
If you could see me now, you'd know I've seen His face.
If you could see me now, you'd know the pain is erased.
You wouldn't want me to ever leave this place,
If you could only see me now.

To the Hamilton family; Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted". Call upon the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior and he will comfort you. The Word of God says, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Be confident in knowing that Rhoda is present with the Lord. With your faith in God, may you face this valley knowing that even when the days ahead seem dreadful, be encouraged that Jesus provides an oasis of grace in this desert of grief. Her smile will never be forgotten and she will be missed by all. We all thank God for blessing us with the gift of Rhoda... May God bless you with his love, peace, grace and mercy.

From childhood days playing outside her grandparents home with her younger sis & cousins Rhoda was the over-seer. Making sure we didn't get into trouble. Mr. Parish did not play! Looking back, its awesome how God placed the gift of pastoring upon her even then.
Rhoda's spirit of joy will always be remembered in my heart. Especially when I was shopping recently at the store we joked about how fine the new LB jeans made us look. :o)

I had the privilege of serving with Pastor Rhoda Mc Farland at Embassy Christian Center in Joliet, IL and through the administrative process at Embassy Nation Church in Austin, Texas. I know that the world has sent and angel home. This was a woman of compassion, excellence, honor, and love. She had a passion for life and for people. Her desire was see people reach their fullest potential and she had a voice of encouragement and hope. She gave peace to those who had none and comfort for those who were in pain. My greatest inspiration is that she has left a legacy behind her of those that her life has touched and those she has imparted to that they give life to the next generation.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers go to Barb and the whole extended family and those who new her intimately as friends. We were all so greatly blessed with what Rhoda has left with us..the gift of life. She lived life fully and beautifully.

I will miss this one-deeply.

To the family: I just wanted to say to you be strong for one another. I remeber whenever I would be in trouble or Miss Rhoda would save me from my mom. Ahe would always have the look like you better get it together before I do it for you and to top it off with the famous wink and her smile. That let me know that she really did care for the younger children, and no matter what she was doing whenever some one needed her she was right there and thats what made her so special to me and all the other teenagers at the time so I have nothing but good memories to think about when I hear her name.

To all of us that knew Pastor Rhoda new one of God's angels. God sent her to show us the true meaning of Love. I can recall when I first realized this.

I had been sick and off work, times were hard for my family. When one night there was a knock on my door. When I went to answer the door there was know one there. The only thing at the door was several boxes and bags of groceries. I asked my neighbor is she has seen anyone at my door she sad no. So when my husband came home from work, I told him what had happen. We knew that it had to be an angel from God because only God knew what we were going through. Then at one Wednesday Night serivce Pastor Rhoda told a story about delivering groceries to a family and that they had know idea it was her. She said that she placed the groceries on the porch knock on the door and ran back to her van. She wondered it the family ever got them. I began to cry because I knew that she was truly the angel that God had sent to our door. We informed her that we did get the groceries and she just laugh because she often wonder about it.

All of us that knew Pastor Rhoda knew a true ANGEL OF GOD.

My family prayers are with you at this time of mourning.

To all who knew and loved Rhoda, let us be so thankful for the brief time that we had the privilege and the blessing of being touched by her beauty. Our grief and loss can be overcome only by the legacy of a truly Christ-like woman who improved every life she touched. Rhoda taught my son at 4 yrs old at church, and has always had a special smile and hug for him. Stephen has always loved "Miss Rhoda"! We are comforted that she is with our Father and that we will see her again.

To the family and love ones of Rhoda, you are in my prayers and thoughts daily. The first time I met Rhoda she struck me as a strong, sweet and sincere woman. She always impressed me as having this inner knowledge of something no one else knew. She will truly be missed.
