Robert Ezell Obituary
Robert was born and raised in Giles County, TN. He moved to Joliet, IL in 1952. Robert was united in Holy Matrimony to Odell Franklin on July 1, 1953. To this union, six children were born. Robert was employed by Mastic Tile for 21 years, until the company closed. He then was employed by the Joliet Housing Authority until his retirement.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ennis and Ozellar Ezell; three sisters; and a brother.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Odell Ezell; five sons, Robert Ezell Jr., Albert (Michelle) Ezell, Emmett Ezell of Joliet, IL, Wendell Ezell and Ronald (Angella) Ezell of Cedar Hill, TX; a daughter, Mary (William) Washington of Joliet; a sister, Florence (James) Simmons of Baltimore, MD; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Also, to cherish his memory, he leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 23, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home and Tuesday, April 24, 2007 from 10-11 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 402 Singleton Place, Joliet, IL, Rev. Dr. Isaac Singleton Sr., Pastor. Service at 11 AM, Pastor Victor McCullum officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
