Robert K. Shoop

Robert K. Shoop, age 54 years, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2016, at his home in Shorewood, IL

Robert is survived by his son, Ryan M. Shoop of Joliet; his love, Rheta Murdaugh; mother, Virginia (Skroko) Shoop of Crest Hill; sister, Cheryl (Steven) Farny of Conroe, Texas; brother, Thomas (Gina) Shoop of Crest Hill, Il.; one niece, several nephews, and many special cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Shoop.

Robert was a lifelong avid White Sox fan. He will be watching his 31st consecutive Opening Day from the best seat in the house. He was employed at Exxon Mobil for over 20 years. He was a graduate of Chaney-Monge grade school and Lockport Township Class of 1979.

Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial services will begin following the visitation at 7:00 pm. In Bob's honor please wear your favorite sports attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.

Bob and I went to school and then worked together at Exxon for over 20 years. We went to Fleetwood Mac concert and had a blast. White Sox games too and other events. Fun times. We will greatly miss him. Opening day will always be in memory of Bob. Prayers and Strength to his family.
